right now i have 2 12" db drives in a closed box (in a single cab silverado )and its not really doing the job for me but my amp is 700 watts or so connected to everythibg (door speakers and etc) so could that be it? you think all i need is another amp to bump the 2 db's?.

I'm going to guess its a 4 channel you're running now. Most likely only getting a few hundred watts for the subs. Upgrade to a mono amp for your subs and you'll probably be a lot happier.
