i have also done that. A little super glue and some electrical tape. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryexcited.gif.c26a15f316d23068607f36ddacd7a7ab.gif Good as new. Too bade it was a $150 sub. But i finally took the elctrical tape off and sold it too a kid and he was too dumb to see the superglue. I even sold it for $175 after using it for 6 months. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryexcited.gif.c26a15f316d23068607f36ddacd7a7ab.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryexcited.gif.c26a15f316d23068607f36ddacd7a7ab.gif

reading all of these things makes me laugh really hard. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hilarious.gif.02a037aad04aa96f19982b298a3d70a8.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hilarious.gif.02a037aad04aa96f19982b298a3d70a8.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hilarious.gif.02a037aad04aa96f19982b298a3d70a8.gif

i guess i've posted this b4 somewhere...

any ways it was my first install too,

and i actually bought a crapy system, and didnt even knew what the hell is RMS,

the amp was called CLASSONIC 500w (written on it ) no idea other than that.

hooked it with two of Pioneer's free air subs ,

-1st funny thing

didnt knew something called RCA wire.

so i made the rear channel RCA, hooked the +ve n -ve to an RCA jack. and into the amp. blown internal AMP (in HU). tried it with the front wires. same thing happened.

-2ndly

i powered the AMPLIFIRE from the HU power wire , samething with ground, (grounded with HU) LMAO!! (my power wire, was same gauge as my speakers wire :S )

-3rd

after i figured out (finally to get an RCA CABLE.) i did get one, n i hooked the amp with the subs. and they were moving slightly. , i was like. seems that there is no enough power. i was bare foot. @ 3 a.m in the morning, i took out the subwoofer wire off the subs. and stick it to my tongue. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!! shocked like there is no tomorrow . loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool will neever forget that day //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

What would make you decide to touch them to your tounge?

Reminds me of the time the when my power adaptor thing to a keyboard had some junk stuck in the connector, so I put it to my mouth, while plugged into the wall to try to blow it out, that hurt like hell.

I've done 7 full installs now for me and friends and I can honestly not remember any really stupid things I've done in any of them.

one of my first installs i wasn't paying attention to what i was doing. when sticking the ground wire into the terminal on the amp i didn't collect all the little wires so some stragglers were left. then i ended up doing the same thing with the power. needless to say when all the Little stragglers touched my finger got lit up and burnt like a mofo. electrical burns ****. lesson learned no more messy wires!

or sticking your tounge on a 9 volt battery to see if it was good. Back when we use to drive all those remote control cars and the controllers used 9 volt batteries.

Here we go, 1999 mustang, black beautiful, anyone seen those grommets in there car easy run for wires under the car, Well, me and my buddy were working didnt even think about the grommets so we thougth we had to drill to run the wire so i lined everything up, drill right here, well we drilled.....and something black was showing thru this was on the inside...and we werent sure what in the world was going just kinda looking around like what then kept drilling, who would have thougth the gas well was right underneath so we kept drilling liquid came up still we had no clue....lost not knowing what it was, then i was like nick somethings leaking,...hes like what the hell are you talking about iw as like you didnt drill right....hes like you told me to...he drilled directly into his gas tank...fond memorys of being 17, im 19 and im still retarded! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i don't know about dumbest, but i can tell you, i was shitting bricks drilling holes in the exterior walls installing my antennas...the 3/4" holes on the roof weren't bad, the 1 5/16" beast that I drilled into the left quarterpanel for the ball mount scared the shit out of me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif nothing like taking a hole saw and high-torque drill to the outside of your vehicle...

1) I was connected my new Hifonics amp a while back when I first got it. I had the + and - power/ground wires in my hand and I dropped them and they touched - brilliant blue sparks for everyone!

2) Getting my new CDT speakers and It took me the longest time to get my door panel off. Well anyways, when I screwed the speaker in, and turned it on, no sound was playing. I finally figured out after an hour and a half, after rewiring my entire HU wires, I finally figured out that it wasn't even connected.

16 with my first vehicle 1986 toyota 4X4. i got a pioneer amp 50X2RMS and JVC stereo with those old knobs that were adustable //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif i hooked the amp up to the 4" speakers and turned it all the way up.... my friend was there and i was like This is hella LOUD!!!! HAHHHAHAHAHHAHA man to be dumb.

one thing that pissed me off was i gave my friend that pioneer amp and we installed it in his 85 toyota.... we didnt have a sheetmetal screw for the ground and i told him to fix it in a few days. well his dad rode with him in the truck and the amp cut out so his dad was like what a piece of shit get that crap outa here. so my friend ripped it all out and cut the wires for the amp flush with the connector. so i had nothing to splice too!!!! i was so pissed.

i put a screw driver through 3 speakers two 6X9 and 1 kicker comp sealed them all up with silicone and they still sound great //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

One day my system wasnt working. I messed with the wires. Re-wired them. Wired them again. Thought it was the ground. Re-drilled that. Tried to turn my system on. Finally i got power back to my amp. Then I was like Why isnt it playing?. I messed with the Channels and the RCA connection for 20 minutes more. Then i realized that i shut off my sub from my deck earlier. What a Waste of time.

Well one night I was installing my JL XR components. I decided to use the stock wiring so I extended a pair of grey and a pair of white wires. As soon as I hooked it all up it sounded like crap. So I did a bunch of testing of stuff, and when I got around to testing what I thought was a 6.5", I heard a crackling noise and saw smoke coming from my HU. I had just accidentally extended the wires from my HU :-(.
