What's the best entry-level speaker?

this is the first helpful thread ive seen in a LONG time!
good to see that a noob can finally come here, ask for help and not get made fun of because of how they worded their question.
I intend to spend most of my forum time in the tech sections from now on, just for that reason. I have had my share of rudeness to people and I am done with it..

you can use 1/4" or 3/16" MDF but any audio grade sound mat will work.

I do not recommend using the hardware store stuff. it never loses it's "smell" lol

get w/e is cheap! ( mdf will be the cheapest option and will make a huge difference vs nothing at all )

Sounds good man, I'll make sure to do that. I actually plan on taking pics of my install when it's done and posting them on here as well. I was thinking about your reply for sound deadening, were you talking about mounting the speakers to some mdf and then mounting them in the doors / rear deck? I know it's a stupid question, I've just never actually done that before.
