whats size alternator i need

My ho alternator burnt out on me last week. What they don't tell you is most ho alternators put out less amps than your factory alternator at low rpms so if you do a lot of local driving with a lot of stops it might output worse than your stock alternator. I'd recommend the batteries instead. Unless you do a lot driving that keeps your rpms in the mid 1000s or better.

400 shipped for a 200 amp isnt bad. Stack a bunch of batts on a stock and burn it up a few times. You just spent over $400

Not saying your right or wrong. I'm telling my own experience. ran 2400+ watts rms off a stock alt longer than I did off of the high output alternator I had.

3 bats should be fine if the bats are agm (glass mat) if they are ****** wet cells this will be to much for your stock alt to handle, and she will not last long.

id say if you do just a decent agm under hood, and one in the rear should be more than fine since i think you mean 1500rms? you might not even need one in the rear.

op it says you plan to run 3000k max... as in max watts or as in your not gonna exceed 3000 rms ever? thats a big defference...

as in 3k max only gonna send 1500 to each sub ...some either 2 1500w amps or 1 single 3k amp ...nothing over
