EQ Install...lost

I am ordering a Cadence EQ tonight to boost my preamp voltage and give me a lot more control over my sound. However I am very confused. The EQ has one input and my CD Player has Rear, front, and sub outputs. The EQ also has a sub knob. If I hooked up the output from the front to the EQ how would my sub work? Do I need to turn off all HPF and EQ settings on the headunit? I guess I just need a nice walkthrough explanation of how to hook Orion and have everything work correctly.

Thanks in advance!

run a rca from the head unit front out to the eq in. IF you have a rca going to the sub out on the deck, you can disconnect it from the head unit and plug it into the eq sub out(thats how you control your sub) and runa rca from the front out on the eq to your highs/mids amp.

Yes if you want to control your system from the EQ you would put your deck on Full Pass out

Connect the front to the EQ

Run the RCA's from the EQ to the Front Stage and Subwoofer

Pretty Simple.

It kinda seems like you are going backwords to me as I do not understand the desire to have more Line Voltage.

Are you trying to remove noise from your system, cause if so, I do not think a lower priced EQ is going to be the answer.

If you are just looking to have more TONE adjustment over your system then I think you will be happy with your EQ.

Most EQ units need a flat balanced input that can be modified through it...just a rule of thumb, your front RCA are the most balanced flat signal you headunit will produce
