Ok, well I would drop the subsonic to like 20. If I remember right, you are suppose to set it 10Hz under the box tuning. And raise the higher to like 80. In that box, it should get quite low, but I cant see it missing too much of the high end, as long as your midbass is descent in your front stage.the box is tuned to 30hz and its ported and the box is **** big ill get the info on the box and yes subsonic on the amp set to 30hz cut off and no higher than 75 i believe box was built to specs by a local high end shop they just used what jl said to i believe
to a certain degree, your enclosure dictates what the sub will play.naa i still have my stock speaks in for my honda been waiting on my new suv dont wanna have to spend the more money on this car and end up not fitting in my new car ya know but i didnt think that would matter on the sub hitting the notes my other subs hit
my biggest problem is how gigantic the cases are, got a small cargo area can't have a 3ft long amp in thereonce you go mcintosh youll never use anything else. we try many other high end brands products to keep tabs on the competition i still havnt found anything better. idc if it takes a years salary to buy it either
i had a 12w3 on 600 watts in a prefab box tuned at like 45 hz prob 1.5 cuft and it sounded like a gay man farting into a ripped garbage bagget the w3's in a good boxed tuned low. heard a pair on 1k. doing 145 in the trunk
that's why.i had a 12w3 on 600 watts in a prefab box tuned at like 45 hz prob 1.5 cuft and it sounded like a gay man farting into a ripped garbage bag
