whats my sub worth and which should i sell

As for OP, I would say keep the W7, sell the W3s... and when you get an SUV or whatever you were saying, get another. W7s arent the end to all subs, like wenn_du_weinst makes it sound... They are great subs tho, and sound very clean. Get a nice 1k amp and go about your business, then when you get another car get another W7 and another 1k amp or a 2k and sell the 1k. Should be a very nice system.

Idk how much you can sell it where you live, if a lot, then cool. Subs you may want to look for are things on the line of Sundown Z, Fi Q, Arc Flatline, things on the line of that. They will all sound clean, but get louder than the W7...

I have owned plenty of subs that **** on the w7, I'm just sick of the idiots that have never touched one that say it is crap because they can't afford or justify buying one. if he likes how it sounds on 300rms he can throw 1k-1500 on it later in the suv in a horn and he will fall in love with it. The fi q isn't as loud as the w7 of same size and the sundown doesn't sound as nice. Which is why I said HE needs to figure out what he likes and wants, I know a lot of people love how their subs sound where I would think they are sloppy slow and distort to much.

well its hard to sell here poor folks here and id figure i can sell that rf 3000.1bd amp online faster than i can that sub. and i got another system on top of these that my co works buying next week so i will have a bit to spend on a new system but i was thinking of going down the line of sundown but i wanna do research on this set up i wanna keep this one

ive used that junk before. yes i run mcintosh for my front stage just got a new car and planning on everything but sub stage being mcintosh. i also work for mcintosh here in bing.

I miss my mcintosh 6 channel, I think I'm going to buy a 4channel and mono for my sq build. I havn't used anything that has compared yet. I might try dls or zuki though

well i like the sq and the spl about it but i swear it doesnt hit the beats my 12s or 15s hit so some songs it doesnt sound like alot of bass is coming threw it but thats what i want a nice sq and spl thats why if i am only going to run 5- 1k rms should i just get rid of the w7 and keep the w3s or will the sound make that big of a difference in sq and spl

I hear you, but I would never run 1500 on a W7. Just saying... 1k is plenty. and yes the Q is louder than the W7, but would take more power to be louder. A 12" Q on 1500 will be louder than a 12" W7 on 1000, but of course the Q takes more power... If he already dropped 400 on it, which isnt bad if it was new, then yes I would keep it. I really like how the W7 sounds. Wish they would remake it to handle a lil more power, and introduce a 15...

Sounds like the box or a frequency cut off, not the sub. The W7 can play a pretty large bandwidth... Whats the box tuned to? How big is it? Where are you cutting it off frequency wise? Does your amp have a subsonic filter? What is it set at?

the box is tuned to 30hz and its ported and the box is **** big ill get the info on the box and yes subsonic on the amp set to 30hz cut off and no higher than 75 i believe box was built to specs by a local high end shop they just used what jl said to i believe
