What's my problem amp or H/U?

Lately I've developed a really annoying problem. My setup is a 1999 JVC KDSH99 H/U. & a JBL BP1200.1 amp. As soon as I turn the volume up my subs go crazy, they'll move and I don't get any sound. If I put it on CD/AMFM I get sound. When I do I still get the crazy sub movement. My H/U is really old..1999 I believe. It's had so many problems lately..it doesn't respond to key inputs and will randomly turn off and on. It does this quite often.

Do you guys this my amp is the culprit or the H/U? I'm leaning towards the H/U considering it's track record.

I was planning on buying another H/U anyway. Hopefully that fixes the problem.

It seems like my ground wire was loose and I was getting a terrible case of ground loop. Tightened down the bolt. She's slamming again!
