My ideal sub:

EXTREMELY efficient under 1kw, but scales well with power (more power, louder) into the thousands. I want a sub that doesn't know what heat is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

This is a poll to see what theuser think , while is hard to agree or disagree with each other ,

this would be a value info share with everyone //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

and also help new user in choosing their sub . //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

My point is that power handling in and of itself means nothing. If your goal is to provide a solid bottom end to listen to music, then power handling is the last thing that you care about. Same thing for a modest system. Eveyone has different goals for their system. Some want accurate, some want efficient, some want loud some want a huge bottom end. You can't have all of those in the same sub. Power handling is such a tiny part of the whole package and honestly only matters in an SPL system. Thinking that power handling can determine the quality of a sub falls into the same fallicious logic of thinking that you NEED to have an amp with the same RMS rating as your sub.

thanks for the info - and i agree -

tell us what you think //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

seem like 12 " is leading well as well as the 15" 1200 watt rms //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I go by what I can stand at teh time, meaning money. Then find teh options from there.

Then it comes down, which company Ima invest in, and If I had a problem, if I could get it took care of.

Then I choose power handling.

But right now, Im looking at 4000rms per 18 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

4000 rms is very high output , not sure if it would have a commercial value ,

thanks for the feedback //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
