What would be louder? (2) Good 15's or (6) average 12's??

I don't understand why people would want to load their vehicle with a bunch of average subs just to say they have a lot of subs. The question is so vague you really can't answer it.

its all in the installation....and the amps.....and the deck....and the subs....and the vehicle.....and the music source........and the outside temperature..........and the humidity..........and, oh yeah, the operator

i wouldnt even ask a question like this. I wouldnt waste space with crappy subs. I would save room with 2 good 15's and pump them with the right amount of power, but thats imo.

I dont think it would be fun powering all those 12 (properly)...
