In theory, but you also have to consider the install and this guy doesn't strike me as the fastest sperm in the scrotum, so you have to account for cancellation in a bad install, and not always will displacing more air put up better SPL numbers.

yeah, if we are talking 1 note on a mic 2 15's still have a chance. I meant more on music where it would be alot harder for the 15's to keep up. Shitty installs do happen though.

Very basic physics will tell you that the more cone area you have the higher pressure level you can achieve.

With that in mind you have to take into consideration power level, box size, excursion, etc... You need to give more detail to get a better answer.
