What wire gauge for LED's?

I ebay mine, 100 Blue 4000+mCD for 16 bucks after shipping, but I also have a wide variety of resistors around for current limiting, so it would be alittle more for those. Speaking of current limiting resistors, be sure to use them, the LEDs will burn out in about .02 seconds without it. (470 ohms is usually a safe value).

The longer lead is the annode (the positive).

so where do i hook these resistors up. thats for ALL the LEDs rite? im planning on running 8

are you planning on putting them all in the same location? if so, you could wire them in series to cut down on the number of resistors needed.

If you want to run them all in parallel you would need 1 resistor per LED. you'll wire the resistor in series with the LED... +12V)-------------(LED+---LED-)------gnd.

You could *probably* get away with a 470 ohm resistor (depends on the color of the LED, if you are using blue or white leds, youll be just fine)

well im running them in separate parts of my trunk but they are in the same area.

so if im running them in parallell:

i use 1 resistor on each + on each LED?
