what will i gain out or round vs. square?

currently i have a 12" L7 in a 2.5 cubic foot box @ 35Hz. the whole set up is to much to rock in single cab truck. its way to big for a truck. i need something to fit behind each seat. im gonna go sealed because i ran 2 12's sealed before and, it was a good set up. but the L7 wants to much power to get another L7 amp and wiring and alternator and, blah blah. so im figuring either 2 10" l5's sealed or 2 12" cvr's. even considering some 8's. how will the l5's do sealed up?

so....

2 12" cvr's

2 10" l5's

2 8' who the hells knows.......

or keep the L7 and toss it behind my seat.

I used to have the 2005 model of the Kicker L5 in the factory sealed truck box in my 1991 chevy truck(single cab). I had a Bazooka BA1500 hooked up to it and it beat pretty good. I had it behind the seat but eventually put it on that hump in the floor between the driver and passenger. But unfortunatly my wife's birthday was more important then my subs so it got sold.

I !had! 2 10" L5's in my '93 nissan pickup for a few months (after weeks of everyone telling me it wouldnt fit hehehe). I powered them with a Kicker ZX 850.2 Amp and they f**king ROCKED. Very high SPL and pretty good SQ as well (with gain turned down the SQ was superb). I had them in .9 cubes each with polyfill behind my bench seat. It was great also ran on my stock alternator (~80-100 amps im thinkin). It was great but in such a small truck it just wasn't worth the space, I'm now back to using my JL 10w1... not loud like the kickers but the sq is great. So, if you want decent SQ at high volumes, go with the l5's.

There is a pair of Ascendant Audio Assassin 8s for sale in the classifieds cheap. I would pick those up. Great subs and easy to fit in a truck.
