...car audio component?

My "First" was an FM Converter that went in my '69 Mercury Marauder back in 1971. The car cost me $50 bucks and the converter a bit less. Then Kraco, boy they sucked, wedge mount speakers on the rear deck. Ah to be 16 again lol.

Then I got some 6x9's but the deck would only hold 5x7's and I had no tools...no one did in my neighborhood...so my friend and I used a hammer to enlarge the opening...a bone or two and much hammering and some drilling and they fit...lol.

My Kenwood Pre-Amp CD Deck KDC something. LOL Cost me $400 Back in 1997. LOL and now I have a new kenwood hu lol. Guess they are the best, what can I say ha---late

I had an '84 chevy 1/2 ton, two tone blue. Iadded a cassette deck first but I can't remember what kind. May have been a no-name. Seems like it had Dolby noise reduction which was a hot commodity. I added a kraco power booster equalizer and Jensen 8's shortly there after and thought I was hot stuff. The was around 1988, give or take.

I bought a 88 ford escort in 96, put a sony tape player in. and replaced the speakers with other factory speakers form other cars that would handle the power from the hu. Than i had the same setup in a 84 topaz only i replaced the rear speakers with 10 radioshack subs. lol. ran em off hu power at first, than bought a demo urban audio amp to run them. It was the best stereo at my high school at the time. lol.

i forgot in the dash of the topaz i had 3.5" kickers.
