what was YOUR first system?

seen the thread asking if it was OK for a first system and then a comment shortly there after and it got me curious. I tried to search to see if this thread is already aroudn but kept getting a "database error" so forgive me if there is one (sure there is somewhere)

MINE:

1988 Mustang convertable

Jensen deck (lit up red, form Best Buy)

Pioneer 5X7's in the back

Pioneer 5.25"s up front

2) 10" Inifinty Kappa 100.1SE (green/blue colored)

Old school Crossfire amp (like 200W~ but later found out it puts out MUCH more)

8 gauge power wire everything else bone stock

Stock speakers....for now...yes make fun

-2 MTX Thunder 4500 subwoofers

-1 Alpine MRP-M450 amplifier

-Stock HU for 2 month, then changed to HU in my sig

-Stock speakers

-Wal-mart scosche 6g wiring kit

-MTX Bass Slammer box, 1.0 cubes per chamber, sealed bought at Circuit City

it actually got pretty loud and hit pretty hard, enough to actually get your ears to ring and start to hurt

 
sony cassette deck and 10-disc changer

2 8" crunch subs (they had flourscent colors on the dust cap)

and a bandpass box that they came in

raido shack 180 watt amp for the subs

realy crapy sony 4-ch amp

boston acoustics 5-11/4" co-ax in the front doors

jbl 6.5's in the back.

Don’t do it on the ground wire. If you lift the amps main ground and the amp tries to ground through the RCA cable shield, you can damage the head...

The Kappa's have a high sensitivity rating of 93 db so the X802-5 would be fine. A good high sensitivity 8" sub in a properly sized box would fit...
