What was your first system?

can't remember the bits and pieces type systems i built while having no money or knowledge, but the first car audio store bought pieces were:

two 10" kicker solobarics (real old school versions). unfortunately i sold them about a year ago.

It was 19 years ago. Deck was a Concord cx-10 that sat up and down in the dash of a 1989 chevy citation.Jensen 2 way 6x9;s in the cack deck, powered by a Concord 50x2 amp,and a pair of 15 inch Sansui's powered by a Profile 500 watt amp.I made my own box,and it was the full trunk of that car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I wish I could hear it now to compare.

Eclisse 6.5s in front doors, Infinity Reference Coaxials in rear, powered off head unit. HU was an OLD Alpine tape deck coupled to a 6 disk changer.

I forgot how bad head unit powered speakers sound till I just traded my Dakota Quad CAb, yanking both amps and sub and substituting an old Alpine CD Player and older Components I had sitting around and powered everything off the head unit. Audible distortion at half volume. Not sure how people who insist on running high end components off the head unit put up with it.

My 1st setup was a single 12" Rockford XLC, 200-300 or so rf amp, and an xplod deck that got stolen. I hated that deck so bad due to skipping that I was glad when it got jacked.

First system was in a 1996 Honda Civic. It was a 4 channel sony amp 60 X 4, sony xpold 6.5 fronts and kicker rears 6.5. With a pioneer head unit that played wma and mp3 disks. Also had 8 gauge street wire ran. Darn thinking about it is scary LOL

99 luminator

12" T1

Box built by me(2.25 cubes @ 40hz)

Directed 1200D

4awg Wiring

Polk coax's (5.25's and 6x9's)

JBL GTO 100x4

Wasnt bad for a first. It hit 137.8db's which is nothing now, but it was a lot then.

My first system ever, when I knew nothing about audio when I had my Silverado was a single 12" Kicker on a KX 300.1 Kicker amplifier with 4 gauge monster wiring kit, in a custom sealed box behind the middle seat and a Hi-Fonics 4 channel running a pair of Infinity Kappa Components and a set of Soundstream Tarantula 6x9's in probox boxes behind the seats all run off a Clarion Zx something headunit.

It hit 139 dB and sounded extremely extremely good. I thought 300 watts and a 139 was a lot.. lol

First ever system in my Sebring was a Alpine 9887 and a 15" RE SX D2 in 4 cubes tuned to 32hz running on a SAZ 1500D Sundown. Memphis 4 channel running a Digital Designs component set and Soundstream 6x9's and a Kinetik 2000 with all 0 gauge kicker power wire.

Did 145.9 on the TL @ 43Hz. I thought it was **** impressive.

Now I'm out of audio all together and it sucks major ***.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif
