What was your favorite HU back then

I had an early Mobile ES and really liked it, was one of the fist head units I saw that had time alignment.

Anybody mentioning Panasonic and not the CQ-TX5500W needs to really reevaluate their lives.

I also very much liked the original Rockford Fosgate head units.
we had a panasonic rep come by the shop.. he had all pan speakers, sub, hu and a center channel on dash before peeps really did that it sounded really good i was shocked and he said it was like 8 yrs old..

I have one of those Panasonic decks with the motorized fold out center speaker in my collection..it’s a good sounding deck and has some cool displays ..it’s a dead head if I remember right ..I haven’t messed with it lately

I’d get almost as much enjoyment just viewing that deck in the dash as hearing it

My last Sony was my fav... I owned 3 different Mobile ES HU's but the Sony Mobile ES CDX-C90 was by far my favorite, too bad it was stolen about a year after installing it.
I still have mine and the minidisc changer too. Such an awesome unit. The original faceplate failed, but was lucky enough to have been sitting on a brand new faceplate. I don’t know why I have the memory of Sony sending you a replacement for your stolen deck as long as you had your faceplate. Maybe it was a store thing.
I have a nice cdx c90 sitting on the shelf it looks good and works perfect ..nice display ..I may be selling on here soon
nice!

.
I had the cdxc910 that did that.

Funny thinking that the C90 cost me a months wages when it was new. Misplaced priorities of youth

I got a lot of my good audio from a friend who owned a pawn shop. Could usually get something nice a couple years old for a fraction of the new MSRP. Painful to think how much I spent on the gear I did buy new in the late 80's early 90's. Kids these days are very spoiled.

I have one sorta like it that’s a cassette also ...it’s a really high end unit with built in parametric EQ and dsp ..I’m trying to remember the model ..keh m900 comes to mind ..it works but the display is out ..I’m thinking a bad ribbon cable
DSP are some of my favorite feature on HU //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
