pretty much. to further drive home this point, some northern zoos had "human" exhibits where they found africans and put them in cages for display like animals and labeled the exhibits "the missing link" as if to say africans were the link between monkeys and WASPs. That gives you a clue as to what people dark color were viewed in those times

Actually, the civil war at its start had nothing to do with the slavery at its start, it was only considered as such later time..

The start of the war was because of the government's oppression against the states with their dictatorship to them.. see if you look at the start of the "union" the States dictated to the central government and in time.. during this period the Central government started dictating to the states, the response was the southern states succeeded because of these things going on..

The rest of the US or known as the "Union" at this point in history did not officially start fighting until later on after the "confederate" states succeeded. Their prime motives was of course the vast rich plantations for farming.. and the south was rich in Gold, raw resources and Oil.. where they lacked those resources up north.. that was the real reason for the start of the war..

And the "rebal flag" you call the confederate flag is not even the flag.. that was the battle flag they used..

Not all plantations where bad,.. most of them treated their so called "slaves" as indentured servants... and the north had both indentured servants and slaves them selves, they just did not have the big farms like the south had...

What that flag stands for is a matter of opinion of who is viewing it.. that flag stood for the states rights and their way of life.. and was not about slavery at all.. it was about what was listed above..

Now days people look at that flag as a symbol of slavery.. racism and other such un-educated bullsh!t..

People really need to take time and learn their history other wise they spew out toxic information that is lies and only separates us even more instead what we need to be doing is unify as one people, as Americans and stand together.. the history is history.. carrying around a grudge is not helping.. nor are the uneducated and racist people that just further separate us..

People need to grow up and learn their history and not just read it from a school history book.. they need to look at all of the history, not just the one sided view points that are often expressed in these so called history books.. and if you dont think so.. look at the new science text books spilling darwinism... even though they still have not and can not prove it.. its still a theory but they teach it like its fact.... but the idea of some sort of intelligent design is strictly not referenced anywhere.. that is proof about the biased information in the history books and all our educational books.

And I am sorry in advance if anything I said offends you.. and if it does offend you please go learn your history..

That has to be one of the funniest, and most ignorant things I've ever heard anyone say. Christians don't vote Conservative because they hate gays. Most Christians don't give a **** about that. Opposing abortion is a valid reason to vote Conservative but do you know what the #1 reason to vote Conservative is if you're Christian? So you don't have some idiot in Washington spending your money for you. You want to keep more of the money you earned so you can help a neighbor if you so choose. Jesus never spent a bunch of other people's money for helping anyone. He did the helping all by himself.
