Old suv I bought, Montero Sport, had 3 JL 13W7's and 3 1000/1, 2 Optima yellow tops. JL's were in a custom enclosure. Guy needed the money bad so I paid an extra $500 for all the equipment included. Turned around and sold all the equipment for $2100 and threw it all on the balance of the vehicle loan

I payed him BB for the suv, he needed the money bad. I did not even want the equipment but it was such a bi tch getting it out. He did not want to mess with, I gave him an offer, he excepted.

I got ya all beat. I found this in the auto parts section of the Minneapolis Craigslist.

2 Alpine Type-X 10's

2 Alpine PDX 1.600's

1 Alpine PDX 4.100

All in a custom box / amp rack built for a 2002 Ranger X-cab. Box is a beast, 1" MDF then glassed on the interior. Pre-wired. The guy bought all of the equipment locally and shipped it to Mass. Then paid to have the whole works crated up and shipped back to Minneapolis. He sold his Ranger a week later and it sat in storage for 6 months. He never even opened the crate to look at it!!

The only drawback is that it was carpeted in black and not the tan carpet in my Ranger.

I tried to give the guy more money but he turned me down saying that it wouldn't be ethical...

Nope. He had all of the reciepts and even gave me all of the original boxes. Also gave me a CD with the pictures of the box build.

He had just had his hours at work cut to 30/week and needed the money to make a Harley payment.

My bestfriend bought the hifonics 1608D that I have now. He opened it, said it looked cheap, didn't like it and sold it to me for $75.00.

Yeahm I wanted to hug the guy when I left. He made sure to tell me to bring it back after the install so he could hear. He has since moved, unfortunatly....
