What vehicle would be louder and better for a system

The 82-92 Chevy S-10 extended cab would be the loudest. It has the most interior parts grouped into a small area with the same resonant frequency. Newer extended cabs would move to last place on the list because of engineers figuring out how to design interiors to be quiet.

The Tahoe would be next due to the large cargo area that would let you run (4) 18" subs.

The standard cab would be the hardest to get loud without doing a blow through. Do a blow through and and the standard cab can move up next to the Tahoe.

Okay, I'll break this down as well.

My order of which I'd rather do....but this completely depends on you, your goals, your financial situation, and how much you're willing to do.

The Single Cab Truck or Extended cab truck(assuming same truck) theorhetically, should have the same airspace. Differences?

Single cab - if you're not doing a blow-through, you can forget it. You're not going to get it near as loud as the other two. With a blow through, you have more room to work with than the extended cab.

Extended cab - You have enough room for at least two ported 18's, or God knows how many other combinations of woofer configurations(assuming you walled the vehicle). Cool thing about trucks - you can chop away at your tool box and turn it into either A) A battery tray or B) A battery tray and an amp tray... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif saves room inside the truck, wouldnt know the difference from the outside.

The Tahoe - well, Tahoes are loud //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif They have more cargo room below the window line than the others, but there is a lot more cabin space to pressurize, which means you're going to need more displacement and movement and/or power. Another HUGE plus to the Tahoe is if you honestly get ready, you can wall it behind the b-pillar and have a TON of room for a very interesting wall build //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Hope that helps

Ryan

a tahoe delani because there sexy
Tahoe Delani, wow is that a new model that chevy offers or something??

So first u butcher the spelling of denali.... Second Chevrolet doesn't make any vehicle that is a denali, GMC does... They are the Yukon, Envoy, and Sierra.

Now to the OP - Get a CRX or the second gen Explorers.( i think they are the second gen)

Extended cab ftw.

2 18" xcons + saz-3500 /thread

Just kidding about the end thread, there's a million good combos.

Your going to get loudest for cheapest in an extended cab IMO.

well i have 2 kicker l7 12s im trying to decide between the three, if i bought a reg cab chevy i would probally downgrade to 2 10s just cause of space, if i did a extended cab truck i would want to put a box under the rear seat with the 2 12s, i would try to modify the seat to make it seat alittle higher to fit a little bigger ported box in there, and if i did a tahoe i would build a good size box, im deffinatly going ported, i just wanted to know what would get louder and sound better between the three
This is the question, people //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

In a single cab, you'd have to get two subs that are somewhat shallow to go behind the seat. This limits your options as far as subs with high power handling and large amounts of throw. Unless you're dedicated enough to keep the seat waaay forward, chances are, it won't be extraordinarily loud.

In the extended cab, if you want the box to be under the seat, this also limits mounting depth as well as box volume. Again, you could have a decent system, but not loud unless you were willing to sacrifice your back seat.

The Tahoe will allow you to have all the space you need to build a box for whatever subs. Only problem is that since it's a rather large vehicle, it's a lot more air to pressurize. But with what you have, it's probably your best bet. It also has plenty of room for future growth //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If I were in your shoes, I would choose the Tahoe unless you would be willing to sacrifice the back seat in the extended cab truck.

For a second, I thought I was going to have to disagree with you! I was scared Jman!

I apologize for missing the MAIN PART of everything in regards to the equipment you already had.

Two 12" L7's, eh? The Extended Cab will be your best bet. Kill the back seats and go into a nice enclosure design and you shall be happy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Weird modeling your vehicle around 500 dollars in audio gear, isnt it? haha
