what u need for a 12 xxx...

i have a honda prelude and i dont have an amp yet..id be buyin it to match the sub

do you know the amperage of the alt? i'm assuming you would be looking into a 1500-2000 watt rms amp? probably gonna atleast have to do a big 3. my tantrum seems to run all right on my stock 90 amp alt, but the lights do dim a little and i can't really run a/c or nothing without having my volts drop. i just decided to get a 200 amp alt in case i ever go to a larger system i have the power. i would also use 1 guage power wire. even if your amp doesn't need 1 guage you could always get a distro block and you have the 1/0 guage there in case of upgrades. have you thought about the box you are gonna use?

IMO, rule #1 is that we can't diagnose a problem that doesn't currently exist //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Without having everything up and running in your car, there is no way to tell what kind (if any) and how bad of electrical problems you will have. Way too many variables. So, wire everything up, see if you are having any kinds of troubles. If so, come back, tell us how severe it is and such, and then we can give you options of the best way to go.

If you are just trying to "plan ahead", the plan for worst case scenerio (HO Alt, battery, etc), but don't spend the money yet. Then, hook it all up, and decide where to go from there.
