What type of voltage gauge?

I am about to install a 3 pod A-pillar gauge mount in my truck . I have seen a lot of people running digital voltage gauges, but I was going run an analog dial gauge. I have so much electronic equipment in my truck, the truck glows blue from all the dang "on" LED indicators. I haven't found anything that would specifically prevent me from running digital, but I have never used either and don't know the in's and out's of either. Anybody's personal experience with both types would help a bunch. Thanks!

I was thinking the digitals were a lot better. I think I am gonna bite the bullet and get digital, but maybe I can find one that I can turn the light intensity down. With all these dam-n electronics it looks like I drive something out of "Tron" when I am driving at night, lol

I have one of those mini volt meters off of ebay and they are very bright. If you don't like the brightness consider doing a glaze or something to tone it down because it sticks out like a sore thumb. Personally, it doesn't bother me because it's right next to my headunit so it's all condensed into one area, but I think it would be way too bright for you

Thanks roux, let me know after you have ran yours for awhile if it gets hot, cause if doesn't get very hot I might be able to put some of this dark window tint over the face and it will stick and not come off. I just went outside and measured and the A-pillar is only about 3 feet from my face, so I will definitely have to tone down the intensity

I've had it on for regular intervals of 30 minutes or so the past couple days and I haven't noticed it is hot or anything. Hell, I even taped up the whole back of it with electrical tape and it doesn't get hot.
