What to Run, Four 18's or Two 18's?

I have the option to buy two more 18w6's and pair them to the two that I already have. Now the question is, should I run four of these 18's in a ported box and power it with a Memphis Mojo giving each sub 600 or so watts... Or should I get two RE HC subs and run them in a ported box and give them each 1200 or so?

My natural response would be to run four, more cone area will make the truck louder... thoughts?

2 W6s with 1200 each might be about the same as 4 with 600 each. As for the HC, I think you would need more than 1200 each to get as loud as teh 4 18s with 600 each. I'm not possitive on the HCs specs though. What are it's handling capbablities and sensitivities?

If I recall the HC was the model before the MT, but dont quote me on that. I had the inital impression that the more moving cone area you had the higher the ouput.

Now the 18w6 has a RMS of 500w or so, I was thinking that 1200 would be pushing it...lol.

Ide have to dissagree. Ide put my money that the4 18s off the same power would be noticably louder than 2.

well if u do that u can have them play in a common 8cube seealed box playing intoa common 8 cube ported box and call it a day

run 4 inverted so u get the most air space out of the box. thats how im gonna do mine.
