what sub or subs do i need

uhh i have a pontiac grand am and i had a audiobahn immortal 15 but it blew and i was wanting a better sub and i have a digtal audio 2400 watt amp and i would like to know if i could hit any where from 140 to 150 dbs

well first of all welcome. You have A LOT to learn. If you want to hit 150 deeeeeeeeeeebeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzz you have to know how to build a very good enclosure. Just do some checkin in the subwoofer forums to see which subs are loudest in certain applications. Then make a decision.

ok well i have a good friend who hit 144 and me and him could maybe build a bad box. Like that i just need it know about what subs are the best

what kind of car? List the model number of the amp, how much trunk space are you willing to give up, how much do you have? There is lots of questions to be answered and asked.

01 pontiac grand am. the amp is a digtal audio dhc1604. but when i had the audio bahn immortal 15" i had the box in the back seat from door to door and i would give up all the space i can

specs on your amp lets say it does 1800 true watts are 1ohm mono. First of all you need to do the big 3 under your hood. Secondly I would prob add a second battery. that gets the electrical upgraded enough to run the amp. I would most like go with 2 12's of a higher end brand. RE, FI, DD, amonst others. Port your box and make sure your friend knows what he is doin makin the box.

well ok thats good info but i was maybe thinking of 1 kicker solox 12 or maybe 2 soundsplinter 12's. or would a re audio 15 be louder than any of those

if you want loud then go with one 15 and a very large ported box running that amp at 1 ohm. look at the fi subs check out classifieds the bl or btl seem like nice subs
