Looks like a Jbl P1222or p1224 to me, I dont thinl the Gti had the biga*s basket/beauty ring. Also the 10 and 12 of this model where seriously oversized, Have him measure it thatll tell the story.

Edit* Also I dont think they made a 15 in this series.

that is exactly why i asked. oh well. not really worth it those things sell for $189 new right now
