Thanks. You have been a great help. The good thing is that I can get all of this off the shelf here in Chicago. I am going to look into the suggestion of the other touch screen.

if you're referring to my carputer post, then yes, i'd definately go that route. you can add gps, wifi, whatever you want. and you'd get alot of points for a carpc.

DK, What are the part numbers of the touch screen and the carputer I should go with? I just spoke with someone at the site you gave me and they were asking for a lot of info that I have no clue of. I am looking for the biggest touch screen possible with the best resolution. I am having a custom dash made of fiberglass to the artist pallet is wide open for interpretation. By the way, I ordered the (2) 12-W7's and the 1000/1 amp along with (2) XR series component sets and (1) JL 450/4 amp. This is the last piece. Thanks for all of your help!!!!!

well if you wanted, you could go with an already pre-built carputer from mp3car.com and a xenarc or lilliput 7" touchscreen.

if you get those 2 1000/1 your going to need a ho alt look into excessive amperage, iraggi, ohio alternators(but there a little pricy)

you don't need an amp for an alternator. instead a HO (high output) alt will put out more amperage and help keep up with the demand of the electrical system (current the amps will draw).

depends. what's your stock alt rated at?

It is a 100 Amp alternator.

it should be fine then. but if you want you can upgrade to a 200+amp alternator. but just do the "big 3" and you should be fine.
