---------------------------------

Ditching most of the system in the cougar here at the end of the show season for something different.

It's also quietly waiting for a few more performance items too. Muahahahahhaa!

Illusions will likely be coming out of my Tbird as soon as I find a suitable replacement.

Mustang is being restored.

At most, it will see a swap of the front speakers, elimination of the rear speakers, an EQX, a 3/4 channel amp, and a single 8" or 10" sub.

System is not going to happen anytime soon though. There's too many things that need done to the car that fall inline far before the audio.

thats cool. Only problem with a car if the family gives it too you it usually isnt in very good running condition. Luckily i found my truck from some farmer. Knew wasnt beat up look nice for a 95. looks really got with my neons on it. Hopefully sound lil cooler when i get my yellow top and alt.

Well, it was my grandmothers, and since she didn't drive much, it only has 60k miles on it. It's in pretty good condition, as it's mostly been sitting with a small trip to the store maybe once a week while my grandmom had it. The paint is kinda messed up (clear coat on roof in spots), but other than that, it works pretty well. Runs great, have to replace a relay today, but other than that, it's pretty good. Looked it up in the blue book, it'd be $7,000 if I had bought it from a used car lot. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

RearFill..Focal Access 165CA

Sub Box..JL ProWedgeCVS310RG (JL built box)

Crossover..Audiocontrol DQX

Electrical..Alumapro 5 farad Capacitor

I started out with half of this and kept adding till sweet sensation. It took a month of running around and exchanging, tweeking, tuning, researching, etc.,but it's were I want it now!

That and $5,000 later... after equipment, labor, etc.

Mind you my entire system, since installed my authorized dealers of every name brand listed, is fully warranteed parts and labor for 3 full years...period!!!

It already came in handy with a set of coaxials and crossovers on the Utopias that went. Something wit hhte built in crossover on the Eclipse8053 or something. I feel bad but hey... it's covered!

All my research and I'm so glad i what I got and the installers as well. Teh best sound I've ever heard from an auto mobile, period.

Head unit: Alpine cda-7893

Amplifier: Kicker kx400.1

Subwoofers: 2 Audiobahns 12" AW1251T

Important stuff is in sig.

Interesting part about the car:

When I purchased it used, it was already wired for an aftermarket system. 4ga (i think, it's .75 inch) power wire to the back, fuse holder a foot from the battery, 3 pairs of RCAs (quad monster cable and a paired monster cable with REM line down the middle) two ground wires (8 ga each, pretty sure). What a find for an audio newb strapped for cash!

needless to say, I won't have to be pulling up carpet or having to do any serious rewiring when I upgrade h/u and put in an amp for the back spk (debating front spk amp....)

Oh, and dist. block is Tsunami, with all tsunami wiring (thank you circuit city!)
