the reason android took over is SIMPLY due to the fact there cheaper than the iOS/iphone...
dont yall rememeber seeing those tv adds, buy one get one free and other promtions.?!?!

if the iphone was that ez to get, the numbers would be STAGGERING!! lol

I know plenty of ppl who have droid phones...every every single 1 has had problems with it!! all have gotn new phones but that should say something.. LOL
The 3GS is only $50 at AT&T...And don't act like it's some kind of relic at this point, it's still a relevant phone that stacks up well against comparably priced Android phones.

I gots an Evo 4G. Battery life ***** on it. Lols, is sucks really filtered?
Id be worried if the battery lasted for more than a day and a half. The way I see it is that a smart phone is meant to be used for emails, texting, internet, GPS, apps, etc. If its not then go back to some archaic suitecase phone.

Not true at all. Apple limits everything severely and gets away with it red handed. Despite claiming open source they are in fact closed source. Look at how they shove Safari down your throat. Microsoft does the same thing with IE yet they have a lawsuit against them and are required to use the browser ballet now. Apple limits the app store. If there is an app that comes out thats new and its similar to another it gets turned away. The Android app market publishes almost all of them allowing new programs to come into the field. Hands down the Android is a better OS over the iOS. Im not biased either. Ive used all of the mobile OS's.

Yeah, you have to stay ON TOP of the task manager or say byebye to your battery //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Not as bad as my Palm Pre though...I would have it fully charged in the morning, and not use it once until 7pm (like 10 hours or so later). When I would look at the battery life, it would be at 30%. That's about 7% battery life drained per hour of STANDBY USE. Nothing running in the background besides Push Email. And it was consistent between all 8+ Pre's that I had been through.

For those who enjoy Swype, Android is a no-brainer. I believe that those who don't like it are just too stubborn to get used to it. They don't understand that it gets better as you go along. I can type fast on a full QWERTY landscape keyboard, but I can type faster with a full QWERTY portrait Swype keyboard, and that's no exaggeration. In fact, my buddy who has an Epic 4G just uses Swype instead of the full keyboard for that very reason.

Apple needs to release a Swype knockoff before I consider an iPhone in the future...single letter typing with FUCKING AUTOCORRECT as opposed to Swype is night and day.

HTC Inspire. I'm still getting use to it. I've owned every iPhone up until this (including I4) . I will say that the iPhone are much more "user friendly" than this is. But I am enjoying it.
That's a great phone. I would say it's a dead tie with the iPhone 4, and it's $100 cheaper. I believe the Atrix is a little bit better, and stands as the top phone on the market at the moment.

Get ready for Sprint's next onslaught of Android though...likely the Nexus S 4G, Evo 3D, Evo View, and the Kyocera dual-touchscreen thing (which is still a Kyocera, so I doubt it will last more than a day lol). Waiting for NateBerriers inevitable reply heralding Sprint as the best phone company in existence //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Evo for me. Worked pretty well until I dropped it in the toilet. Still works pretty well though. Well my flashlight on it no longer works since it went swimming but everything else works fine. Freezes up occasionally but so do computers so nothing new there

I had the Swype Beta on my Incredible and I cant stand typing like that. I figured it was just something I had to get used to, but after 2 weeks I still couldnt type very fast.

Try it again. If your brain can process the idea of Swyping, you can get fast at it, trust me. It is better now than it used to be. It adapts to your writing style as you go, so it will get better at prediction as you get better at typing. You can also type individual letters if you'd rather.

iOS is not a bad OS, it's just not for "real" smartphone users. iPhones are phones that work best for two kinds of people: 1. Those who want a smartphone but don't really know how to use one, and 2. Those who like their phone to be a fashion statement. For those people, it's a great phone. For others, it isn't.

apples iOS is pretty boring

Its all marketing.

I had/have every iphone and it hasn't changed one bit, the stuff they did add was stuff they should of released from day one.

No MMS, no copy paste, no flash until 3.0 came out and then they slowly added stuff.

I remember when everyone went crazy cuz it could do landscape 400 years after every other phone could.

Unless they do a huge over all with iOS 5, I dont think the iphone will be that big of a deal this year.
