What size woofer u guys love and why?

i love my 10" sub cuz i always ask people what they think i have and the usual response is like, pair of 12's or pair of 15's

oh and whoever said 10's cant get low, listen to my car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif i really don't see the need for any woofer bigger than my 10 because it's more than loud enough right now.. but i'm also a SQ entheusiast and im not a bass head either

i like 8's the best. its just amazing to see that look on others peoples face's when they see what small woofers can do.

agreed. i've always wanted to try a RL-i or like a CMass sub in a transmission line

You can have fourty-eight 4" woofers in one big box tuned to 32 hz that puts out 150 db if you want to. question is, how applicable is that to your car?

My replies weren't directed toward SPL oriented claims. While it still isn't everything, using large diameter woofers in SPL comps must have its advantages. This is proven by the number of competitors using large subs. My replies were directed toward those making claims on "the lows", "sloppiness", and overall SQ. In those respects the diameter of the driver takes a back seat in terms of relevance.

in DbDrag it is advantageous to use larger subs competitors are limited in the number of subwoofers that can be used. In USACi for instance, some competitors use more of a smaller diameter subwoofer as the subwoofer isn't the limiting factor.

Hence why I iterated the fact that I wasn't speaking about SPL comp purposes, just the asshat "lows" and "sq" responses.
