what size wire for my setup (2 L5s, 1600 RMS)

I've got two 15 inch L5s powered by a Hifonics BX1605D (1600 RMS) and a 1200 watt boss amp (maybe 200 RMS i dunno exactly, not very much) going to my mids and highs. Ive got a 1 farad cap. My altornator is 120 amps i think. Right now I am running 4 guage all the way back to the trunk where it goes into a distrobution block and splits out to two 8 guage wires. Is that big enough you think? If not would 2 guage be big enough? or do I really need 0 guage?

Also what size speaker wire do you recommend to power the subs. Right now I think i have 16 guage.

If I do think I need to get bigger power cable about how many feet do you think it would take. Its a 94 accord. Amps in the trunk.

Atleast 4ga. for your sub amp and 12ga for the subs. 8ga for the boss amp is fine.

Ok I now have 4 guage running to my hifonics amp. I also checked the wires unded my hood that are replaced with the big 3 and I already have 4 guage stock. Think this should be fine?

Do you think I should change my speaker wire from 16 guage to 12 guage?

^i personally would. some will say you wont notice the difference but its better to have headroom imo.

12ft of 12awg wire is like $8?

Unless the 8 ga run is relatively long, you're dropping more voltage in the 4 ga than the 8.
