What size RSDcs for my 99 Yukon Denali

I read that 6.5 will fit but I took the panel off and now Im not sure what size will fit. It looks like 6.5 would be too big.

Its a bose 7 speaker system and there is a sleeve like black plastic housing that the

factory front door speaker is mounted to.

The fatory speaker is roughtly 5.5,the bare metal cutout is 5 5/8's

and the plastic housing is roughly 6.25 od. (front door)

Do I go with 6in mounted on a 1/2" or 3/4" mdf ring/baffle right to the bare metal?

Just an fyi this is my first attempt at a DIY audio so bare with me, all your input is appreciated.
