What size fuse for old school Punch 200?

I have two Incriminator Audio 187's ran off an old school Punch 200, I had it wired at 4 ohms and didn't have an issue but got ambitious, redid the box and brought the amp down to 1 ohm. I know this isn't recommended but I heard it should be fine, plus I don't leave it up for long periods of time.

But, I've popped a few 40 amp fuses and was wondering what size I can go up to.....ooooor should I just rewire it down to 4 ohm?

that amp shouldn't be at 1ohm, not daily. stick a 50A fuse in at your own risk

That's my concern, I'd obviously rather not try a 50 and risk smoking the amp but if the amp will hold it great. I was looking to see if anyone knew the max size fuse I can put on that amp.

Back when I didn't know any better I had my punch 200 running @ 1 ohm daily with no problems. It was fused with a 50 amp fuse from the dist block and it blew that a couple of times. That was back in the 90's and the amp is still working to this day in my brothers truck.

That's what I'm switching to is a 50amp, just found this from the Rockford Fosgate site....

(1) ATC 20 Amp Fuse (Punch 40x2)

(1) ATC 30 Amp Fuse (Punch 60x2)

(1) ATC 40 Amp Fuse (Punch 100x2)

(1) AGU 50 Amp Fuse (Punch 200x2)
