what size cable/fuse to use

im geting a new system for my car, a 15" xxx with a tantrum 1200.1 at 1500 RMS and was wondering what size power cable to get and what size fuse to use. I was probably going to get some 1/0 guage power/ground wire, but im not sure what size fuse to use, and im not sure where to find out. Would it say on the amp what size to use?

there u go http://www.bcae1.com/fuses everything is said. BUT you do not need 1/0 gage wire. 4gage and 120 amp fuse would be fine. Don't forget 3 connections from bat (-) to frame, from frame to engin block again with 4 gage wire.

if you are wiring up just the tantrum 4 guage will work. and use an 80 amp fuse. 120 is way to big.

god dammit no. don't listen to the first dude. the manual says 80 amps, and you can even call phoenix gold and ask them, and they will tell you to use an 80 amp fuse.

yeah I kind of went overboard but he said he had a powerful amp and I thought the more power the better //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif plus 4 AWG rated at 125 amps handling so doesn;t really matter. Ice is right thou 80 amp ones is easyer to come by.

it's always better to under fuse. i learned from experience.

ok ok jeez, dont get excited. =P and btw, you think i would need a cap with this and a stock alternator? if so, any sugestions?
