What should my subwoofer be set at crossover wise?

Right now it seems to be too low, it isn't playing any of the bass notes except the really low ones. My amplifier and my head unit both have a low pass filter, so which one should I use? Also, the sub is a 12 inch 2005 RE XXX in a ported enclosure. What should i set it to? Thanks.

60Hz-80Hz is usually a good place to start....

And use your headunit.... Just use the one on the amp as a "in case shit" extra crossover in case there is some high frequency signal that gets bleed down the sub outs...

hmm weird, because its at 80 now, and it doesn't sound liek it is playing all of the sub frequencies?
