what should i set my freq to?

its a mono amp pushing one 12. it goes from 40hz to 130hz. its loudest at 130hz, but people say the lower the hz the louder the bass. how do i correctly set it?

wow um subs are only made to play low frequencies. 130 hz. is way too high for a subwoofer. that thing has to be distorting like a *****. try 60-80 hz. probably 80 hz. in your case

then why would the freq range on a mono sub amp go from 40 to 130 if its not meant to play at 130

hell if i know. 4-5' mids are meant to play 130 hz.
