What should i set gains at zx1000

hey guys would u mind telling me what i should set the gains at for on my zx1000 powering a kicker l7 but only 500 watts its running 4 ohms right now and should i have the bass control knob all the way up or? its off a pioneer 5900 ib HU

every system is going to be different. whats the amp specs that you are running, and what speakers?

for mine, i have 1000 watts X 1 @ 2 ohm, so take 1000 X 2 = 2000 and take the Sqrt, you get 44.72 which is where my amp gain needs to be set at, and no more. Anything more causes clipping. so do the same for yours, but you will need a DMM.

im running infinity i tihk reference series 3.5s in the dash and 6x8 in the rear so 48 from tdc isnt th a lil less then middle? wut about input frequencyand bass boost?
