What should i go with...Better speakers/cheaper amp or budget speakers/great amp??

Ok so im looking at the Focal 100kp 4inch componits vs. the Rainbow SLC 210.25 4 inch componits..

The thing is that the focals are like 350-400 bucks higher than the Rainbows..

I was wondering if i should go with the cheaper Rainbows and get a better amp or if i should go with the Focals with a cheaper amp??

Also is it possible to upgrade either the mid first before i upgrade the tweeter?? I could buy the focal mids rihgt now and purchase the tweeters later...Or do you guys not thing that i should buy and install the mids with the factory tweeters first..?

i wouldn't personally spend a lot on 4" components, period. Maybe do a 3-way setup with the larger driver in the kicks with mids and tweets up where these 4" comps are supposed to be???

I think cd6551 has a set of DLS 4" comps right now. Not 100% but I do believe it's him. He's a good guy to work with.

Most of the time you can relocate the latch release to another spot.

Speakers make more of a difference than amplifiers.

Of course install trumps both....

Why the **** would you spend $400 on 4" components? Especially when you can't afford a decent amp to go power them.

Buy a really good pair of components for $250 and have $200 more for your amp. Funny how you want to blow a **** load of money on a setup that isn't going to sound impressive at all..

amps make the least difference in your SQ out of all components in your system. I would put the money in the install though over the cost of the speakers
