i have this peice of shit 86 brono right now but i have a nice system in it. i have two mtx 6000 10s and 300 watts to each sub @ 4 ohms. im thinking about getting this regular cab toyota pickup, but i know, even with truck boxes, i wont be able to fit 10s back there behind the seats. i was looking at some 8s and found some cerwin vegas that handle as much wattage as my mtx's but i dont know how good they are. im not sure what i should do. how are the type s 8s?

gimme some advice, thanks:banghead:

I bet you I can get 10s in the back of that truck. You just have to talk to the right people. And if for some ungodly reason it's not possible, cerwin vega 8s are very good. However, JL 8s are just as good as well. One of those brands would probably make you happy and you could probably even do 3 of them. I would honestly go with JL 8s because they won't bottom out unless you do something really wrong. Cerwin Vegas are real specific about their box, but if you get it right like I did with my 12s, you will never want another speaker.

i disagree and then again agree with your last 2 statment's techguy. now you can fit 10"s back there b/c a buddy of mine had a pair of Comp VR's in his truck until they got stolen they fit nicely. now L7 8"s are good subs that put out as much SPL as most 10"s and can sound good if done correctly. i agree with the jl8 buddy of mine had 2 Jl 8"s in his crx that sounded pretty good.

You are saying you disagree with me, but you agreed with everything I was trying to say. I wasn't saying that the L7 8s weren't good, but as far as speaker size and box requirements, you might as well put a 10. I didn't mean that they wouldn't sound good. I suggest the JL 8s because that's what I used to have in my little S-10. I agree with what you are saying, so there is no disagreement. Right?

well i wasn't disagreeing with you i was disagreeing with the guy hwo said 10"s don't fit. hell you can fit 12"s in a little s-10 you just have to do mods to the truck cab or make a good box.

well its not a bench seat. its an 83 regular cab toyota pickup, and i really dont think tens will fit behind the seats. you'd have to get some small *** truck boxes. its a really really tight fit. and i like to sit kinda back with my seat too when i drive. but it doesnt look like im getting it anyway, so dont worry about it. thanks anyway though guys.
