Ok, so a while ago before the alavanche sub was discontnued I started a project to build a badass system...Now, after doing electrical upgrades and all sorts of stuff I never had finished that project with the Avalanche, and only put 500 watts to it in a sealed box...Now i've been thinking about what I should do:
A: finish this long *** project, make a nice FG Ported box tuned way low and 15-20 cubes, like ~16 hz, get the alpine PDX1.1000 amp and put 1000 watts to it...Get it done by christmas goto the tampa meet, and go from there. (save up money and do the next upgrade) Possibly get the component amp.
A2: Finish the component system, re-do the doors put in the rainbow powerline CS, get a 2 channel alpine amp, put 300 watts to each side... (1500 USD)...Get it done by christmas
A=500-1000 USD
A+A2=2500 USD, done by new years
B: Put the component system aside use what I got (2 sets of older type r's)...
Then get the BTL 18" All options, get lots of power like 2500-5000 watts 1-2gs USD, build the ideal tuned 15-20 FG box...
(550 for the Speaker)
(500 for the component amp/optional)
(1000-2000 for the Amp, possible more wire upgrades and battery upgrades so add 250-500)
B=2000 USD-3500 USD, may not be done by new years because of budget.
Would sell the Ava 18...so, minus 300-400.
I have like 600-700 of spending money each month after rent/food/ect.
I used base box pro to clac. the box...it's tuned to like 16 hz, and will have a flat responce curve...not that high of output, and was going to come out to be like 13-20 cubes
