what should I add for low mids?

Current setup,

Alpine Type S components front and back. TC Epic 10 as my sub. My alpines hit the higher mids and highs, my tc epic 10 is set up to hit the deep lows. I need something to cover the low mids so to say. Something small..

I was thinking either a 6.5in subwoofer? I look around on parts-express but its so hard to tell if the mid-woofers, woofers, mid-bass, etc. are for home audio or car audio.

Any suggestions? I am looking for something in the 6.5in range or smaller.. power isn't a concern right now, no amp is purchased and i plan on upgrading that to match the new set up.

My passive crossovers are 3 way, woofer, mid, high. I have my type s on the mids and high, I have the woofer option open, need to fill this gap.

Not really. Its pretty easy if you get the right speakers. My truck will do a 140 on the floor at 66hz with no subs at all.

not sure what your budget is or what car its going in but a pair of these in the kick would give you plenty of midbass.

Why not? If you get the right speakers and install them correctly, bass/midbass will be there. I get rock solid midbass out of my doors from about 40hz and up. It lets me cross a sub lower, and blend it with the doors much better.

Key word is correctly. Many dont seal or deaden their doors and then complain when the midbass is lacking.

I didn't do anything to.my doors yet and my ddw 6.5's are amazing.

Congratz you got lucky. 9 times out of 10 its not about the equipment, but the quality of the install.

That's the next step.I am doing it was a test to see if they were as good as they looked and they delivered they drop low as hell.
