I needed some work done on my truck....My father in law is the manager of autozone, he had a long time customer that does mechanic work on the side.

So, I bought upper and lower ball joints, an idler arm, and a pittman arm.

Give the guy the parts/money for labor, and he "fixes" it.

I go today to get an alignment, and turns out this FVCKING CVCKSUCKER did nothing.

I called autozone, had them look up my return history.

Turns out he just returned the parts.

So, my question, what type of legal recourse do I have?

not sure about legal resources BUT if the guy is doing the work for cash you can report him to the feds //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif they will more then likely audit him and basically screw over his life. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The reason I say about legal actions is since it was more then likely a "cash job" sorta of deal so in the end it is your word against his. No receipt, no quote on price....

Yeah, you really either need "proof" you paid him, or hope he admits to his wrong doings. Otherwise your chances in court are slim. Either that, or find a few people who were eyewitnesses to the transaction (i.e. saw the cash exchange hands). If you paid by check, and the check cleared...you have a pretty solid case in small claims court.

Have you talked to this guy yet? That would be step #1.

I talked to him this morning. I called him from the alignment shop, he still says he replaced the parts.

My father in law was the one who arranged for him to do the work, he was with me when I paid the guy, so he saw the money exchange hands.

I have proof that the parts were not installed, statements from the alignment shop saying that the parts are original and a printout from autozone showing that the parts I bought were returned.

Also, Squeak you have PM regarding phatillusions off topic, continual post dumping.

its people like that that give legit mechanics a bad name and the typical 'mechanic' stereotype...im in school to be a mechanic and it absolutely pisses me off when they do sh!t like that!! i hope u sue the fvcker for all hes worth //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

The bad thing is, this guy has been doing business with my father in law for years, and has done work for him before. Of course, none of these problems occurred.

I just went to his house, he saw me coming down the street, jumped in his truck and left.

Talked to a couple of the neighbors, they are supposed to call me when he gets home.

My post won't get deleted. Nobody feels sorry for you. You scammed people on here, and now you got scammed. Karma is a ***** ain't it.

You still scammed, I don't care what you fixed. Scamming is a pre-planned thing. You took money/product knowing you weren't going to give back. Whether you were trying to support your drug problems or what, I don't know and don't care. If any of my posts get deleted, it certainly won't be because I was pointing out a scammer. It will be because it's starting a flame. Don't get your panties in a wad at me because you got your dues. Sucks when you get scammed doesn't it? Now you know the feeling that you put in the stomachs of the people you scammed. I remember a while back you posting about how some neighbor was stealing your cable, then you turn around and steal $$/product. You're quite the hypocrite.

Get it in writing. Anything you have done, are going to have done, agreements to pay, etc... Both parties sig at the bottom, dated and make sure there are specifics. In this case, it just might be for future reference since it looks like karma has taken a turn and bit YOU in the *** this time. Next time, though...
