i am looking at getting the Audio Technix Sound Deadeners, should i just spend the extra 15.00 and get the 80 mil or just save some money and go with the 60 mil, i am not a big bass boomer, but i just want to get rid of road noise and keep from getting too hot in my vehical. I plan to do all 4 doors and if i have enough maybe my trunk, i do not have subs in there. Thank YOu.

no i don't get any rattles, i was hoping it would just make it quieter in my car, just noisy going down the highway.

ok, so read up on the site i linked in my first post and read up on proper MLV installation, you can also send them an email and they will help you out a lot, depending on what vehicle you have he may already know the specifics for it and how much of what you will need to order, but just loading the car with sound deadener isnt going to accomplish anything, deadener is ment to reduce resonance, not make things quite.

the "sound deadener" most people refer to is actually a vibration reducer...you need closed cell foam CCF or mass loaded vinyl MLV, both i believe you can get from second skin....it is a very expensive process though compared to the AT or any Vibration reducer. Like the posts above read up on the link provided and after you get an understanding of what you need to do to achieve your goal you can search alternative, cheaper, methods and places with similar products

Is mlv as easy to install as sound deadener? And where is a good place to get some
Its more of a process. much more measuring and cutting, and sealing all of the mlv together to form a unbroken piece throughout the vehicle, using a decoupler underneath the mlv to do it properly. So no i would say its not as easy as installing cld tiles and to do it properly can be expensive. The sound deadener showdown site mentioned is the place to go

yeah i don't think that is going to be in my budget, if i just go with the sound deadener and install in the doors will i be able to tell any difference, b/c my car is not extremely noisy.
