what makes the bass sound better outside car?

What would make 2 AQ HD312's sound loud outside?? Ofcourse i care more about if it sounds loud and better inside, but, When you and the boys are rollin up to a party, You gotta get that Shit to SLAP! My question really is, will 2 HD312's sound loud outside the car with 2000-3000 watts n a good install
*sigh*

You know what would make it sound loud outside? Leaving your windows down.

And don't bother to roll them up, or lock the doors either; the thieves who pick over your vehicle will take care of that for you.

I like to listen to my music loud sometimes, but I always have my windows up when I do. If I'm at a redlight or something, I always turn it down so the people around me don't have to listen to whatever I am.

couldnt find the flag but..... BAN?
and anyone who agrees with him. Showing off is for shows hrmm wierd how those words go together. Unless testing in garage, which i've yet to do, i doubt many people knew i had a system driving by. if you want to show friends what you got then hit a freeway or something. And if you have to many people to show that way at 1 given time then you'd better have insurance on your gear.

in a suv's the subs always seem to be louder because they are like in a cabin, more ways for the bass to travel somehow makes it louder on the outside, i understand what ur saying, i got a guy in my neighborhood that has an Excursion and i yet to know what he has but im sure its probably like two 15's or something but his shit slams and it shakes stuff in my house when he rides pat, also had a friend with twp L5 12's on a crappy 900 watt RF bestbuy amp and his shit can be heard a block away and with deep sounding bass in a car it would be diffrent, im beleiveing due to cabin space for the bass to travel

More cabin space= deeper bass

dont quote me on this jus a theory

Nope i disagree...whats the point of having all those watts...Anything extra on a car is mostly for show...Why add a system u alreayd have music...Not everyone takes there car to shows...most dont even care...its all about bragging rights....who has the best of the best....I could care less if i won a show contest and knew one of my boys had a louder system then i did...i want my friends to hear me when im leaving school...Bass is for u and 4 show if not u might as well just get a 80 watt amp with one 10" sub...That should do it if u dont truely care about who is listening

Install your subwoofers on the outside of the car and mount the amps on the hood, that should make it sound loud....lol

Knowledge and Install is everything.

I guess it is just a different way of looking at things. Some are into car audio for others (those who want to show off, at school or home) and then those who are into car audio for themselves (those who are into and respect SQ and doing thier "showing off" on the TL)

And to answer your question, if I did not [try] to compete 200 watts on two 10s would be enough. I care about my hearing...

If someone wants to show off then enter a bassrace/streetbeat or drive-by spl comp. Or just go to a show and wang away. Booming down the street on a Monday morning full blast makes that basshead look like a bonafide idiot to those who care nothing about our passion. The older I get more i understand what the older guys were telling me awhile back.

I wish I new how to bold, in which case I would bold older. I think that is the difference, more of the younger folks are looking for loud on the street while a little older is doing SPL on the mic and the older than that group tends to focus on SQ.

lol, EXACTLY.

For my daily driver, Im planning to dive into a serious SQ system and leave the major wang for bassracin and so forth. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I can agree to disagree on the matter but this statement truely makes me sad. You think you can't install a 2kw sub/amp combo and not enjoy it yourself more then people outside. It's called sound deadening and truely helps YOU enjoy your music as loud as you want with minimal noise escaping.

perhaps in your case substitute older for more mature //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

oh wow you're not a smart one eh?
I misunderstood the question. I wasn't referring to louder standing right outside the car. I meant be able to hear the bass from farther away. I do not know if its true or not I have just been told that. They say its because 12s plays higher and higher bass notes seem to travel farther.
