what makes the bass sound better outside car?

if there are two subs getting the same power but one in a ported box and one in a sealed box in the same kind of car. Which one would be heard better outside the car? the one in the ported that will get more SPL or the one in the sealed that will have more SQ? IM just curious

some people i like to piss off so i dont mind outside the car, i dynamatted for rattle reduction. but whats the best way to make the sound waves travel and still be strong. i hear cars drive up and down the block shaking shit. and they got mostly weak systems just in suvs.

I dont understand why you want to be heard outside the car. Like someone else already said, thats why everyone is cracking down on the noise ordinance.
