What is your Preffered size of Subwoofer and why?

Which do you prefer? 8" 10" 12" 15" 18"?

I have heard every size besides the 22" mtx sub and out of all the subs size id probly say 12" or 15" Id need more experience with a 15" to see if i ever wanted to replace my 12 with a 15" or an 18"

the reason i say 12" is because i Listen to a variety of music. I love Rap I love Metal Jazz Techno etc... and im into spl and i just couldnt get that with the experiences ive had with 8" and 10"

Whatever does the job the best.

If I was trying to build an IB setup for home, I'd want to move a ton of air...so a bunch of 18" woofers would come in handy.

If I was trying to build a box for a truck, I'd probably go with several smaller drivers than a single 12" or 15".

All depends on the application.

there was an episode of mythbusters where they put i think it was a 54" subwoofer in a car
