what is this wire? No sound from subs

My subs have no sound. Amp has power, fuses are all good. I'm not sure what this wire goes to but it goes through the fire wall with the power cable. How does this wire hook up and what is it for? TIA

Ehhhh amp remote turn on wire?

How do I hook it back up and would that be the reason I get no sound from my subs?

The remote wire runs from the remote turn on terminal at the amp to the headunits remote turn on wire. The headunit sends power through this wire to turn the amp on.

See where the wire is going as its only a guess that its the remote wire.

I'm wondering why the remote wire, which is usually blue, is in the engine compartment?
