i understand it is a rule but i disagree with the rule. that is all im saying and that i will help them with whatever they need. im not looking to argue with you because i know with all the smart words you use you will make me look stupid over the internet......so with that said i am ending this here.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifI'm being stuck up for wanting the rules as posted by folks that saw fit to do so long ago to be followed....
Yep.
That makes sense.
The question posed by the OP is such an incredibly subjective subject (as evidenced by the resultant train wreck that this thread has become....just like all others like it that came before it hence the rule being put as a sticky to begin with) that there is no single "best" answer.
wow that doesnt even come close to what this thread is about! but yes sq is great lolWOW you can make a loud system. Now try SQ and see how you do. I can even get loud lets see-the right subs, alot of power a wall ok that covers it. I got 1/2 way loud even with an SQ car.
Old SQ System back in 2002-
2001 VW Jetta-1 old school RF Pro 12 on autotek AMX 100.2=138.6db car was tuned for SQ-sealed box firing up in trunk-wow that was easy and did not even have it up as loud as I could get it, at the shop got a 141.0 out of it. USACi SQ-IASCA SQ
Nothing against you SPL guys you just crack me up. I give my buddy that does SPL a hard time all the time. I know you guys are gonna flame now.LOL
DO I get credit for beating a JL back in 2002.LOL
lol @ the 07er posting fi's site
true.... and overall LOL @ this thread, adn LOL @bmxbikes for saying DD sound like *** in a wall tuned to 50's, and the nice totally uneducated "these subs cant hang" postA few people that were big SPL guys here in Canada have been slowly converting to SQ competition and judging because it's just so much better.

Sorry SPL'ers. All the biggest mouthed, worst people to have conversations with have been SPL competitors and I think that's proven online on a daily basis. There are some great SPL guys out there, but the SQ crowd is definitely more up my alley.
On topic, I'd say BTL is a good choice simply for affordability and customization.

I have a wall full of SQ and installation tropheys dating back from 91....If there were SQ shows in my area I'd be competing in that right now...And i'd run DD subs and DD mids and highs...I started competing in SPL in 2004 after taking a few year break from competitions...It was a new world out there and I had to learn a lot...When I bought my first pair of DD 15's used in 2004 I never even new what a DD was.....but after hearing them and seeing that they were the best...I've had no reason to switch....But listening to a few other competitors...I have used Kicker....Atomic APX's ...and Seleniums in the lanes...They are all decent subs...and I still won...but I always did better numbers with DD's...
People thinking DD makes the best spl subs makes me laugh. I love the 99/95 subs and think they get hella loud. But they are by far NOT the loudest. I got $100 on a drop in test with any 99/95 non neo against a shocker sig.
I would actually put my money on a TSNS, Cactus, APXX, or sig before the DD.
