I've been going back and forth between sealed and ported for awhile now.
I've been looking at Kicker L5s, L7s, JL W3s and W0s all in 10"
I have a JBL 1202D 12" sub right now. I've also been looking at the Rockford Fosgate P3 line 12" subwoofer.
I have a very slim amount of room to work with behind my 08 Sport Trac's rear seat.
Something like 48" W x 3" D 1 x 7-9" D 2 x 21 H. It works out to about 2.5 cubic inches gross.
So it's a very skinny wedge shape.
My qiestion is:
Does the shape of the box play a large impact on a ported enclosure?
With the type of sub should I use with that shape box? I'm after more low range bass with this install.
