You shouldn't need an alternator. Of course this depends on the car (how big the stock alt is, how much power the car consumes before the amplifiers). I am running a SAZ-3000D and a Kicker ZX350.4 off of stock 110A alternator, and the batts in my sig. (Powermaster D1200 up front, D3100 in the trunk). Not dimming, voltage drops to 13.5 at full tilt.

Im planing on getting an SAZ 2000D soon, and a small amp/ comps around June. So Im been guessing around 2500rms daily. I just need a second opnion on what should I get to run that much power. I already have an optima up front, and I beed debating about one int the back. Maybe and HC2000, or something. Just looking for opnions.

i single yellowtop and adequate wire with a stock alternator would work in my explorer just fine
