Im planing on getting an SAZ 2000D soon, and a small amp/ comps around June. So Im been guessing around 2500rms daily. I just need a second opnion on what should I get to run that much power. I already have an optima up front, and I beed debating about one int the back. Maybe and HC2000, or something. Just looking for opnions.

DEKA 9A31 ftw...around $200 shipped from REMY battery.
I had a HC2000 and the DEKA's were better batteries, cheaper too...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I was thinking of getting one of these.

If you do some research, you will find that differnet brands of batteries are designed for different purposes. Some are made to start a car (high output for short time) and some are made for deep cycle purposes (low output for long time). Then you have a hybrid of medium output for medium time. For your system, you need to decide how much run time you will need. Guys that rock out in a parking lot for hours should go for more runtime vs the guys who compete and need a short burp time. To each his own I guess.

To answer your direct question though, with the Kinetiks, the model number is the watts RMS they can support. So an HC2000 can push 2000W RMS. So if you are pushing 2500W, it would not be enough.

hc2000 can support 2k for how long????? and with what amp efficiency???

simply stating that it can support 2k is ridiculous.

i've been running about 2500 rms or a little more for a few months with only stock batt up front and some other big batt in the back. and it does alright. i pound on it pretty **** hard every day and as long as i don't have the ac on and head lights i usually stay right above 12 volts. but if i'm at idle pounding for longer then a few min then i drop below 12 volts. and i only have a 90 amp alt. i figured you'd be able to kinda judge by that to decide what i need and give you a small idea

I was just trying to tell the guy how the Kinetiks work as far as the model number. Don't kill the messenger bro. Ask Kinetik how they get those numbers.

Lol.... very descriptive...

I have a deka 9a31 that I was running 2200 watts off of daily. good batts
Yep a group 31 should handle about 2400W RMS.
